Tell everyone your TOP 5 Mineral Makeup Companies, that you just can't get enough of!!
I haven't updated my collection since moving. In our new apt, I made my bathroom really pretty and the makeup just didn't quite fit in there BUT I have two huge closets in my bathroom so all of my makeup is on the wall inside one of them. Sometimes I hang the smaller boards with foam tape- in the pictures, 2 are nailed up and 1 is mounted with foam tape. There are magnets on all the jars and the lippies are clipped to the wall with marker clips. I do much prefer being able to see EVERYTHING when i'm deciding what to wear. I use a bigger variety that way!
*There are no pictures of mascaras, brushes, lip plumpers or liquid glosses because i do not keep them in the closet...yet... Also not pictured (with the exception of 1-2 jars) are my MMBB shadows because they are all stackable!
This is by no means EVERYTHING but it is most of what i keep out for easy access.
I mounted these to the wall using marker clips. I currently own ALL of the kisserslickers (Karen must have noticed I was only missing one cuz ashley came as a surprise in my last order), ALL of the Liquid Glosses (not pictured because they aren't clipped), ALL BUT 1 of the Demi-glosses (Fearless), and ALL BUT 2 of the lipsticks (sublime and decadent). Sooooo...I own all but 3 Silk Naturals Lippies...and I have mulberry spice, cordial, and celebration which you can no longer get... I also have a few dreamworld lippies which i find unique and really enjoy (Xirena is one of my favorites)
This is my blush board. I also keep glows and bronzers here. I have ALL of the SN blushes in a sample size or larger. I recently ordered some EDM blush samples and am really happy with what i picked (especially peach tree). There are 2 EDM shadows on there too because i didn't want those 10g jars taking up space on my shadowboard. lol. The big bronzer is from sheer cover and i do really enjoy it.
And yes. The big Hoo-Ha! I have waaaaaay too much eyeshadows. Some of these are samples that were poured into jars, some are combinations of samples in jars, and many are full size jars. When I add the magnet, I peel off the name sticker and put it on the back of the magnet whenever possible. I hate to admit but i think I'm outgrowing this board... If you count, I think there's 70 Silk Naturals' shadows on there...
I will have to take photos on my days off- everything is so pretty!!! I'll update the list as the rest of my hauls arrive!!!
-Dreamworld: I forgot i had placed 2 orders 3 days apart because i was having issues with the cart. the first arrived today which is mass quantities of samples (amazon, evolution of chaos, furies, rocks). The free gifts of the week were Glisten powder and Glistening lip stick/balm (came in a slimtube) which came in a little purple organza bag. The only thing I can remember from my other order is samples of new fdt colors (hecate turns orange in the summer for me. As soon as it cools down again, it will be perfect but i'd like to have a summer shade too) and I did order a sample mulberry (silk) of hecate. I also ordered some lipbalms I think. It's kind of fun not remembering what i ordered so it's a surprise when i get them!
-Silk Naturals (samples sale!) Lots of pretty colors. There were two samples that REALLY stood out for me beyond all others: Sprite and Wave. GORGEOUS colors. i really like the liquid lippie formula and hope to see it expand greatly (I'm lemming for a dupe of Mary Kay's discontinued Pout gloss). I did swatch all of my current lippies minus Summer Fling which came today. Summer Fling is very MLBB. Again, terrific texture.
-My Minerals Bath and Body (VOXER sale) It's here! It's here! With lots of extra goodies and cute little strawberries and cream cards. I ordered 3 blush samples, a new flat top, a 5g lightener, the eye cream, the ultimate firming serum, and samples of miracle in a bottle, aha cleanser and moisturizer, and wild oats and honey mask. Lisa added in a red triangle sponge (which i've been curious about), a setting mist, a brown liner pencil, and some jojoba beads!
-Chagrin Valley Soaps (Thanks for the reviews Jen!) I haven't passed judgment on the shampoo bars yet because i think they take some getting used to. I currently am using a small amount of body wash to rinse after using the shampoo bar. Right now I'm trying out Cafe Moreno. I used the Shampooch Honey and Oats for my dog's sensitive skin and it left her coat fluffy- no coating or weird texture like the people bars. It also has a texture which helped massage her. I will say I think she prefers this shampoo bar over traditional liquid dog shampoos. I even think the scent had a calming effect on her.
I love the pumpkin seed lip butter balm in tangerine grapefruit and i also LOVE the olive oil and shea soap. I placed a new order today for more soap samples (the last was mostly shampoo bars). Oh! I also got my first lotion bar ever and i really like those too! My boyfriend immediately seized anything mint and so he is also using a shampoo bar (rosemary mint) which he seems to really be loving.
-Mychelle Sampler (~$12 @ vitacost) Arrived quickly. It was really fun having all those little clamshell containers and vials etc to play with. There were 3 men's products which i gave to my bf. I don't know how i feel about this line yet. I don't particularly like the way any of it smells... It seems to be quality stuff but the smell really bothers me. I do think i could really learn to love the masks and maybe a few of the specialty serums though. Update: I am getting a residue from the moisturizers so I won't be purchasing any of them. Products I like: The Serious Firming Hylauronic Serum, Guava Cactus mask, and Apple Brightening Mist.
-GOW- see 2 posts from this one. I finally took the plunge!
I'd like to try camellia-rose but my first email never got a reply so i have to email again and well...i'm lazy...
I've recently gotten into a little bit of a mascara craze, hunting for the perfect one that's affordable (i will NOT spend $20 on a tube of mascara) So this is what I've come up with...
Silk Naturals
(I noticed that aromaleigh sells this same tube of mascara but I bought mine at SN) this mascara is *mostly* natural and is very nice. It lengthens and separates and gives a very natural coverage (not heavy) which i tend to like. It makes my lashes visible without making them HUGE. The only drawback I've had with this tube is it doesn't really dry fast enough and it smudges on me pretty often when i'm waiting for it to dry.

Sheer Cover
This was my first mineral mascara and i have to say i was impressed. I never liked traditional mascaras because they ALWAYS clumped. Sheer Cover mascara gave me long perfect lashes with no clumping.
*I am too lazy to take a pic and don't want to link through ebay. black tube.
Lure Beauty
Lure is discontinuing their mascaras because they're resale products. The lush lash wasn't dramatic and the tube is short, but i was impressed because it's the first mascara that i could use easily on my lower lashes and cover all of them, not just some of them. I REALLY like their lengthening mascara which goes on absolutely perfectly, lengthens, separates, coats, and doesn't budge! No flaking. i even slept in it and did NOT wake up with raccoon eyes. Really impressed and have it in black and chocolate.
Silk Naturals- kisser slickers
Silk Naturals' lippies are by far my favorite. They come in slimtubes. There are basically 3 lippie formulas, there are kisser slickers (glosses), Lavish Lip Creams (lipsticks), and Kiss Bliss Demi-gloss (not a lipstick, not a gloss, but a perfect hybrid) Texture-wise I prefer the kisserslickers and kissbliss formulas best as they are really moisturizing and never sticky. The lipsticks tend to be a little dry for me so when I do wear a lipstick, i usually layer a gloss overtop (which fixes the dryness for the rest of the day!) The ultimate for me is the demi-gloss formula because it has a good amount of pigment, great texture, and lasts longer than a gloss with more moisture than a lipstick. I haven't received my order from the new Kiss Bliss collection but Karen has released a few demi-glosses in the past. It really is the best of both worlds. Color-wise, i haven't found one yet that i could NOT wear. The lipsticks are pretty heavily pigmented for me but make a really dramatic look for evening. My favorites are gold blush, berry crush, rapture/seedy combo, and birthday suit is a must have for me. I have learned that birthday suit tends not to be a favorite among tanner and darker skintones as it goes brown on those tones. I'm rather pale so i love it. *Silk Naturals has THE perfect wearable red lippie-hotblooded and if you feel you cannot wear red, you NEED to try this one. Silk Naturals also has the bonus of being able to return a product for store credit if it just doesn't work for you (i've never returned a product).

Burt's Bees
Lip Balm- My alltime fav. lipbalm. I like my lipbalm a little waxier and these deliver moisture, lasting power, and great peppermint tingle. The honey one was a little too sweet and sugary for me and i prefer the original peppermint. I am never without a tube of it. Have not tried the rejuvenating pomegranate.
Lip Shimmers- Probably my fav. lippies after SN. I LOVE that peppermint tingle and they offer a lot of wearable long-lasting shades with girly shimmer. My fav is nutmeg.

Lure Beauty
Lip Glazes- These are sheer, smooth (not sticky) wearable glosses that come in a wand. They are fairly pigmented- enough that they could rival a solid lippie even though they're liquid. I've gotten a lot of these as free samples in orders and my fav. is "blush" which is a girly pink.
Soy Lip Balms- come in a chapstick tube. I've tried the peppermint, wintermint, and chocolate. These are the kind that more "melt" on your lips which is not my fav. for lip balms. The flavoring is very nice though and they DO moisturize.

Zosimos Botanicals
Lip Gloss-These come in a wand and you can also buy teenies as samples. They have a light orange flavor that i really like and are VERY pigmented. They go on with the shine and texture of a gloss but the pigment is really long lasting. My favorite is peachfuzz.
Lip Balms- These come in chapstick tubes and are fairly soft- not waxy or grainy. I have a strawberry and it's just "ok" to me. You can buy tiny samples of these too.
*zosimos doesn't let you link their pics and i am too lazy to go take some.
Everyday Minerals
these lippies come in a chapstick tube. I am not sure if i tried the old formula or the new formula since i bought mine around the time they released their new formula. I bought one in cherry fizz and it was very sheer and almost nude- not one i reach for often though i must say i enjoyed the smooth texture. I haven't had any problems with the tube either which was a problem with their old formula. Pretty drab in flavor (tastes like...i dunno shea butter?) not yummy anyway.

Ethereal Minerals
Lip balm- This is another soy based "melt on your lips" type but it has a slight waxy texture that help the moisture last. It's also made with vitamin E and mango butter which has great healing properties. I'm pretty enamored with mango butter right now so i love a lippie with it!I have the pineapple one and LOVE it. Another cool thing about these balms is that they come in an interesting tube- it's a flat oval chapstick tube, roughly the shape and size of a bic lighter (which means it fits great in your pocket). The special tube made the balm feel more special and I love that i can get it in pineapple which tastes and smells great.

I've heard great things about aromaleigh and jlynne lippies and i'm really interested in aromaleigh's "licorice twist" lip balm- if anyone can review that for me, i'd appreciate it!
I have the magnetic markerboard system. I use 1" round self adhesive magnets with a hole in the middle that i order on ebay. It is the absolute BEST system for a person with limited space (like myself in an apt with a small bathroom). Even my lippies go ont he marker board! I've considered a magnet for the bottom of my fiber optic baby buki blush brush but as of yet it is magnet-less. I keep my brushes in a decorative ceramic piece.
I may have a teeeeeeensy addiction. There's 23 glosses (not including clear which i didn't swatch) and 4 lipsticks. Thanks to the rewards program I have 3 more in the mail so I'll have all but 2 glosses(ashley and sarrah) and 3 lipsticks. (decadent, classic, and sublime).
However do I choose? It all depends on my mood of course! I do have a few that i don't reach for very often but i have yet to find an SN lippie that looks bad on me. My lips are naturally a pale rosey pink and my skintone is slightly warm neutral.
-My everyday subtle and girly shades are gold blush and berry crush
-My earthtone shades are birthday suit and jaybird
-My dramatic lippie shades are the lipsticks and i recently discovered the ever-so-gorgeous rapture/seedy combo that is sophisticated glamour on my lips
-With peachy clothing i wear peachy lipsticks- foreplay, darling, toffee, sherry
-And of course- some days, you just want to go RED (hotblooded and soon celebration)
-Some colors are better depending on the season (Rhonda and the pinks-pout, damsel, breathless- are gorgeous colors for spring). I haven't had a summer with SN yet so I'm sure I'll discover many that i don't wear often are GREAT with a tan.
I almost order samples of lippies from another company and then mentally smacked myself and said "you do NOT need another lippie!" :)
